Participants engage closely with materials and learn techniques from leading experts and specialists. Please note that places are extremely limited to encourage closely supervised and direct learning.
Teens and up
Fashion illustrator Grant Cowan has illustrated three fashion books by Charlotte Smith of The Darnell Collection (featured in the Fashion Hub session ‘Collectors’), and brought his unique and wistful style to many of the world’s leading fashion magazines. Today he sets out to inspire budding artists by imparting the skills and tricks of the illustrator’s trade. Through detailed demonstration of the craft, Cowan encourages participants to create a fashion illustration of their own based on stunning couture from The Darnell Collection, installed throughout the SCCI space. This workshop is ideal for Year 11 (preliminary) and Year 12 (HSC) Design & Technology (Textiles) students that wish to advance their illustration skills and their ability to effectively communicate their design ideas.
